Pencil Operation and replacing leads

Operation - Twist Mechanism - (Dinkie, Churchill, Duro, 58,100)
To expose the pencil lead, turn the cap section of the pencil, whilst holding the barrel stationary, to retract gently push back lead whilst holding the cap in the turned (open) position.
Operation - Push Mechanism (Dandy)
To expose the lead, hold the barrel of the pen whilst pushing the cap downwards. To retract gently push back the lead whilst holding the cap in the down position.
Changing the leads in the cartridge:
Your pencil comes with a cartridge which contains a number of leads. To add additional leads into the cartridge:
- Remove the pencil cap by unscrewing in an anti-clockwise direction.
- Remove cartridge from the pencil barrel.
- Remove small black stopper from rear of cartridge.
- Insert new leads - use only the size of leads marked on the cartridge - normally 0.7 or 0.5 mm.
- Replace the cartridge stopper.
- Refit cartridge into pencil barrel.
- Screw cap back on.
