一份来自海底、跨越200年的馈赠。
1786年12月10日，英吉利海峡一场猛烈风暴，迫使丹麦双桅帆船 Metta Catharina von Flensburg 号驶入普利茅斯湾（Plymouth Sound）避风。这艘船载着从圣彼得堡运往热那亚的皮革与麻料，在风暴中锚链断裂，被卷上岸并沉没于海湾康沃尔一侧。船员全数生还，但船只与货物就此沉没海底，逾两个世纪杳无音讯。
1973年，英国潜水俱乐部（British Sub-Aqua Club）普利茅斯分会的潜水员在海面下三十米处发现一口船钟，确认了沉船的身份。进一步探勘发现海床上散落着成捆兽皮，历经两百年浸泡于黑色海泥之中，竟保存得异常完好。经英国皮革制造商研究协会（British Leather Manufacturers' Research Association）分析确认，这些皮革为俄罗斯驯鹿皮，以柳树皮与桦木焦油这一传统工艺鞣制而成——正是这种工艺赋予其独特的气息与惊人的防水性能。
每支200 Year Old Leather Scribbler 皆以实心黄铜车削而成，经手工抛光并镀镍处理，再以这种非凡的皮革手工包覆。数十年沉睡于英吉利海峡海底所形成的美妙包浆，是任何现代工艺都无法复制的。5.6毫米活动铅芯机构中，末端笔帽内置铅芯尖。
